We Met at Grossinger's

From the golden age of the Borscht Belt to its lasting influence on American culture, We Met at Grossinger's celebrates the legendary Catskills resort that became a haven for generations of Jewish families. The real-life inspiration for Dirty Dancing, Grossinger's was far more than a vacation destination—it was a vibrant center of entertainment, community, and opportunity, hosting everyone from rising comedians and celebrated athletes to political leaders and cultural icons. Through rich archival footage and lively personal stories, the film revives a vanished world while revealing how this remarkable resort helped shape Jewish American identity and left an enduring mark on the American experience.
