A young theatre director and actor stages a play about refugees. Impressed by his talent, a leading actress from a rival troupe brings the two companies together to perform a classical mythological drama. As they collaborate, she recognises that they share the pain of losing their homeland and loved ones.
The second film in the Partition Trilogy draws on Ritwik Ghatak’s theatre experience, connecting artistic practice with the cultural divisions left by Partition.
