Dunhuang Warriors

Mozhou, a strategic stronghold of the Tang, has endured sixty years of brutal rule since the city fell to enemy forces. With its people suffering under a ruthless warlord, a long-running tale has given them one last hope: “When the lion roars, the Tang army will return.” After years of biding his time, Governor Zhang Youcheng finally leads an uprising to reclaim Mozhou. But vastly outnumbered, the rebels are soon pushed to the brink of defeat. Their last hope rests with a small group who flee the city on a desperate mission for reinforcements. As they journey through the desert and ancient caves, long-buried secrets and forgotten heroes emerge. With the final battle approaching, they must fight to bring the Tang flag back to the walls of Mozhou.
