Love Is Not A Game, But A Joke

Eddie, Paul and Leslie, were students of U.B.C. in Vancouver. Three of them fell in love with the same girl, Karen. One day, Karen suddenly went back to Hong Kong without leaving a word or address. The three boys also went back to Hong Kong. They designed a game. The first guy who could locate Karen would be her boyfriend and the other two should five up. The time limit for the game was one month. Eddie was very superstitious. He went to a temple to ask for the chance of winning the game. The “God” told him to take more buses. During his trip in the bus, Eddie met an unhappy married bus-driver, Sabrina. Her perfume smell reminded Eddie of his mother. Eddie was crazy about the far-reached unforgotten mother’s smell. Paul met a police-woman who was his friend. She helped Paul to find Karen. During their search of Karen, Paul found out the police was actually also finding someone- her disappeared lover Brother Shing. Leslie meet a street kid who refused to go home. Every night this girl knocked on Leslie’s door and asked him to use his bathroom, telephone or bed to kill time. When one night, the girl suddenly disappeared, Leslie felt very uncomfortable. He missed the girl very much. One month passed swiftly. The three boys were still busy searching for Karen. However, deep in their hearts, they were confused. Karen became a symbol rather that the real girl they wanted to find. One stormy and rainy night. All the clock in the city stopped and “Time” was suddenly “freezed”. The three guys made love with the three women. In the morning, everything went back to normal. The police woman told the three guys the address of Karen. The three of them were shocked by this message. They all dropped into a dilemma of whether they should chase for Karen or just stay beside their new girl friend and forge the love game.
